Vinyl Vault -Squire - Jesamine 1983 WHITE LABEL

This rare white label artefact is from the original 1983 pressing of Jesamine b/w When I Try, I Lie. A bold step into baroque pop, Jesamine sparkles with a fanfare of trumpets and harpsichord flourishes, evoking the spirit of 1967 London with a cheeky nod to Penny Lane. The pastoral B-side, When I Try, I Lie, offers a lush counterpoint, featuring a beautifully arranged string octet.

Imagine hearing this for the first time in 1983, as anticipation buzzed around the release of Get Smart. This is a piece of Squire history—a true collector’s gem! HI-004 A-1 scratched into the soft hand cut acetate! By Denis Blackham at Tape One of course!
